Allí pasó por la cama de algunos de los miembros de la Jimmy Hendrix Experience, de Jim Morrison, Mick Jagger, del grupo Steppenwolf... Su primer gran romance fue Jimmy Page de Led Zeppelin, que la abandonó por otra groupie más joven que ella, Lori Maddox, de 14 años. Tras su paso por las GTO'S de Frank Zappa, Pamela se enamoró de Don Johnson. El entonces desconocido actor también la abandonó por una adolescente: Melanie Griffith. Con el advenimiento de las groupies más jóvenes en la primera mitad de los años 70, a las que Pamela despreciaba y consideraba que no eran amantes de la música ni musas, su estrella decayó, pero todavía se las arregló para llevar a la cama a Keith Moon, batería de The Who. Poco después conoció al hombre que la llevó al altar: Michael Des Barres, estrella menor y cantante de los olvidados Silverhead. Tras intentar labrarse una carrera como actriz y de posar desnuda para la resvita Playboy, decidió escribir sus memorias: "I'm With the Band: Confessions Of A Groupie", que fue un best seller. Hoy sigue escribiendo y se la ve en los clubes de Los Ángeles de la mano de músicos veinte años más jóvenes que ella.
