El comportamiento pacífico del bajista de Black Sabbath, Geezer Butler, ante las bromas pesadas de sus compañeros de banda, puede hacer pensar que es un pusilánime, un hombre sin carácter, sin valor y coraje. Pero nada más lejos de la realidad, ya que cuando tiene que recurrir a la violencia para defenderse, no lo duda; exactamente igual que cuando tiene que recurrir a la magia negra para llevar a cabo una venganza. Y esto último fue precisamente lo que hizo cuando un desgraciado le robó su querida SG Custom de 24 trastes a Tony Iommi allá por los 80, provocándole un gran sufrimiento. Viendo a su compañero llorar cada noche por su guitarra, finalmente Butler tomó cartas en el asusto echando una maldición sobre el instrumento. Y dio resultado. Poco tiempo después la guitarra aparecería misteriosamente acompañada de una nota en la que el ladrón explicaba que se vio obligado a devolverla porque su vida se había convertido en un infierno de desgracias sin fin desde que la había robado. Además, en la nota, añadía: "Tómala, quita esta maldita guitarra de mi vida para que nunca la vuelva a ver". Sin embargo, esta no fue la única vez que fue robada, ya que este instrumento desapareció de nuevo en un concierto en Dallas, Texas. Esta vez el guitarrista emitió una advertencia espeluznante al segundo ladrón: "Sé que hay mucha gente que no creerá esto, pero estoy muy preocupado por la persona que ha robado la guitarra. Tener esa guitarra da mala suerte a cualquiera que no sea yo y no quiero que le suceda nada terrible a la persona que la ha robado".
